AYBU Department of Sociology Ranked in the 801–1000 Band in the THE 2025 World Rankings and 12th Among Sociology Departments in Türkiye
Our faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yahya Aydın participated in the ISA 5th Sociology Forum held in Rabat, presenting his paper titled “Empty or Low Use Homes in Istanbul.”
The Sociology Department 2024–2025 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony was held enthusiastically on May 26, 2025, at the university campus with a large turnout of students and their families.

The “7th Sociology Days” event, jointly organized by the Department of Sociology and the Sociology Student Community at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU), was held at the Conference Hall of Block A on the Esenboğa Campus.
As a result of the applications made within the scope of 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program, 2024/1 period, 4 projects were accepted from our department.
On Wednesday, March 25, 2025, as the AYBU Department of Sociology, we organized an iftar dinner at the staff dining hall on the Esenboğa Campus.
