Abstract:
Beta-glucans are bioactive polysaccharides with proven health benefits, widely used in food, pharmaceutical, and biomedical industries. Conventional detection methods such as HPLC and ELISA are accurate but time-consuming, expensive, and laboratory-dependent. This study proposes a novel platform combining electromagnetic wave-based dielectric spectroscopy with machine learning algorithms to detect beta-glucans rapidly, accurately, and cost-effectively, offering a portable and label-free alternative for food safety and quality control applications.
