Abstract

Smart grids with new communication infrastructure and information technology can increase power production capacity of renewable energy resources and network reliability. State Estimation Process (SEP) allows real-time monitoring and management of electrical grid operations using key system state variables like voltage amplitudes and phase angles. The state estimation (SE) process is critical for effective control and monitoring in power systems. Anomalies, such as false data injection (FDI), can significantly impact SE accuracy and needs to be seriously considered.
