The thesis titled *“The Visual Cortices of Congenitally and Non-Congenitally Blind Individuals Become A Part of Cognitive Control Network”*, in which our department’s research assistant Hasan Duymuş explores the functional role of the visual cortex in individuals who are congenitally or early-onset blind and thus deprived of visual experience, has been awarded the 2025 Kalbiye Tansel Thesis of the Year Award by Bilkent University.
