ORCID

ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID)

Or to register to the ORCID system, at https://orcid.org/register;

1-Fill the relevant form.    

2. After completing your registration, you will be directed to the main menu.

On the next page, you can see your ORCID ID and fill in the relevant fields (such as personal information, education information, financial information, workplaces).

 

*Biography: You can enter your personal information in the window that opens by clicking on the "Edit Biography" tab.

  

*Training: You can add information about your education by clicking the "Add manually" or "add some now" buttons.

 

*Workplaces: You can add information about your workplaces by clicking the "Add manually" or "add some now" buttons.

*Funds: You can use the “search & link” tab to add your financial information, or you can fill in the relevant fields in the window that comes up by clicking the “Add manually” option.

Studies: You can add your studies to the system in three different ways.

    a. You can add by clicking the "Add manually" tab and filling in the relevant fields one by one in the incoming window.

    b. You can add your studies by uploading the files with bibtex extension that you export, including Google Scholar.

    c. When you click on the "Search & link" button, a list of institutions that ORCID works with to add bulk publications will appear, and you can add your publications in bulk by selecting the ones you want.

*If the studies have a DOI number, "CrossRef Metadata Search" can be used and when approved by clicking the "Authorize" button, the publication list associated with the researcher's name appears on the screen. A large number of data on the screen can be limited by selection according to broadcast type, year, name, category, publisher.

Click the "Add to ORCID" link for the researcher's publications (under each publication), select the "Yes" option if the relevant publication is to be added to the ORCID profile. After the post is added, its information will change to "In your profile".

 

In addition, a publication can be found by typing the DOI number in the search box on the top tab of the page.

 

*"ResearcherID" is selected to transfer publications via Web of Science.

After clicking the "Authorize" button on the page that opens, the page to write your e-mail address or Researcher ID will come.

If you do not have a Researcher ID, you can register to get a "Researcher ID" by clicking the "Join Now It's Free" button.

 

*To import publications from Scopus, select the "Scopus to ORCID" option and click "authorize" to bring up the publications registered on behalf of the researcher in Scopus or similar.

When the researcher clicks on the "Next" button after selecting his own publications, he is asked for the profile name and can change the profile name as he wishes.

Then, the studies belonging to the researcher are listed and approval is requested from him.

After entering the corporate e-mail address twice in the "Send Author ID" step, the researcher's records and Author ID number will be transferred to ORCID. With the Return to ORCID connection, the broadcasts can be controlled by returning to the ORCID interface.

 

  3. After all these steps, the researcher can log in to the system using e-mail or ORCID registration number and password.
