A “Read & Publish” agreement has been made with Springer Nature within the scope of the EKUAL Project carried out by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM. The Article Processing Charge (APC) of the publications within the scope will be covered by TÜBİTAK
Within the scope of this agreement; Open access article publishing opportunity will be provided in Springer Hybrid journals for the period 2024-2026 in line with the criteria determined by EKUAL.
In addition, the article will be able to receive open access (AE) support for publications in the Q1 and Q2 Group Springer Nature Hybrid Journals in the Web of Science (SCI, SSCI, AHCI) in the types of “Original Article”, “Review Article” and “Continuing Education” if the corresponding authors of the article are from member institutions.
There is an annual AE article publishing quota within the scope of the relevant Agreement. In the event that the annual OA article publication quota is exhausted, the author of the relevant publication will need to pay the APC fee himself or his funding institution if he wants to have his article published as OA.
According to the terms of the agreement, no “OA article quota allocation” will be made for institutions. The publication of the corresponding author whose article is accepted in the relevant journals will be queued according to the order of publication, if the author requests, and if there is a quota, ULAKBİM will approve the articles that meet the criteria for OA publication.
Gold Open Access journals and Nature journals are outside the scope of the agreement.
The Q1/Q2 list published in JCR on 01.07.2024 will be valid until 31.12.2025.
It will be sufficient for the corresponding author of the publication in the journal group and publication type mentioned above, and in case of a quota, to be an employee of an EKUAL member institution, and for the name of the member institution to be mentioned under the publication name.
When applying for an article, using institutional e-mail addresses (...@aybu.edu.tr) is important for the smooth operation of AE approval processes.
