Borrowing Service
Academic and administrative staff and the students of our students can utilize the library within the framework of the regulations determined by Library Services Instructions.
· The staff of the university is a member of the library since his/her employment while the students are a member of the library since they are enrolled to the university. However, they need to apply to Circulation Desk with a copy of their identity card in order to borrow a book.
· 5 books are lent for academic staff, Master’s and Ph.D. students for a period of 30 days; 3 books are lent for administrative staff for a period of 30 days and 3 books are lent for bachelor students for a period of 15 days.
· The processes of borrowing, return, extension, membership, and fine are carried out at Circulation Desk.
· If the books are not returned on time, the daily delay fine is 0,5 kurus.
· Another book is not borrowed or extended without paying the delay fine.
· The readers can extend the period of the borrowed books from the library.
· Dictionaries, encyclopaedias, dissertations, maps and guidebooks are not lent.
· The users cannot give the resources to other people.
· The Directorate may demand back the resource before the deadline.
· Those who would like to borrow a book with the identity card of another person are not allowed to borrow the book. Those people are exposed to the required administrative and judicial processes.
· Any members of the university (academic or administrative staff and students) have to have their discharge certificate approved by the university on condition that they are retired, transformed, resigned, undergo lateral transfer or graduate. The Rectorate is informed about the member who is discharged from the university although they still have not returned the book in order for the legal procedures to be initiated.
· If the borrowed materials are damaged or lost, the user is supposed to apply for the library without late. If it is possible for the user to provide the material to the library, h/she provides it. If it is not possible, the user has to pay 100% of the current value of the material. If the user does not inform the library about the lost material before the return deadline, delay fine is taken too.
The Resources that are not borrowed
These materials are allowed to be utilized only within the library:
· Application/Reference Resources (such as abstract, index dictionary, etc)
· Published Dissertations
· Periodicals
· Whole notes
· Atlas, map and slides
· Manuscripts (Handwritten works) or rarely publishes works
