AYBU Education Programme for Turcologists in Egypt
An education programme was organized for capacity-building of Turcology departments in Egypt in cooperation with Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU), The Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) and Yunus Emre Institute (YEE), between the dates of 13-17 October 2024.
While 32 academicians from 10 different university with Turcology departments participated in the education programme, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Latif İLTAR and Lect.Dr.Kürşat İLGÜN from AYBU provided the training for the participants. During the education programme, a pedagogical and methodological point of view were served for providing the effective and fruitful learning of the Egyptians.
Mr. Üzeyir GÖKSUN, the Middle East Coordinator of YTB, stated that the project attracted great attention by the Turcologists and that the increasing support of YTB, for Turkish language education and Turcology departments, will carry on.
Salih Mutlu ŞEN, the Turkish Ambassador in Egypt, who participated in the closing ceremony of the project, stated that Turcology departments are of great importance for the development of relations between the two countries and called on AYBU and on YTB for the continuation of such projects and expressed his support.
