With the widespread use of mass media such as radio, television and cinema in society, we see that communication is first shaped as a social and then a scientific phenomenon. The combination of developments in communication technology and socioeconomic transformations has been shaped as a mass communication industry that encompasses all aspects of social life. In parallel with the rapid expansion of the areas of activity of the mass media in society, the seriousness of the training of professionals who will work in the field has become more and more important. As a matter of fact, it is of great importance because all kinds of information or messages that are produced or transformed in the industrial production environment of mass communication are accessible to large social segments. For this reason, it is of great importance to plan the information and messages to be produced in the said environment and transferred to the society in a way that will benefit people from production to distribution and even use. This is only possible by bringing in qualified professionals to the mass communication sector.

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema aims to train students as qualified professionals with its qualified academic staff, physics and technically equipped venues, laboratories, radio and television studios, and a curriculum that will be prepared by taking into account not only the present but also the future.
