The project titled "Development of AI-Supported Job Interview Simulation App (MUSAADE) for Adults Who Stutter", led by Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha OSMAN, a faculty member of our Department, has been selected for funding under the TÜBİTAK 1005 – National New Ideas and Products Research Support Program.

The project aims to develop an AI-powered job interview simulation application designed specifically for Adults Who Stutter. As part of the project, an annotated Turkish speech dataset of people who stutter will be created to improve the adaptation of artificial intelligence models to the linguistic characteristics of Turkish and enhance stuttering recognition performance. By integrating speech recognition and machine learning technologies with metrics such as avoidance behaviors, negative emotions, and technical aspects of interview performance, the project seeks to improve the job application experience and employment opportunities for adults who stutter. The project is also supported by the Turkish Stuttering Association.

In addition to Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha OSMAN as the project coordinator, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mariam KAVAKÇI from the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, will serve as the project advisor. Res. Asst. Dr. Halil Tayyip UYSAL will participate as both Assistant Principal Investigator and researcher, while Res. Asst. Kübranur GÜMÜŞLÜ from the Department of Software Engineering will contribute to the project as a scholarship researcher.

We congratulate our faculty members and the entire project team on this significant achievement and wish them every success in their research.
