The ASEC Entrepreneurship Summit 2026, organized by ASEC, was held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Etlik West Campus Conference Hall. Throughout the day-long program, students and participants interested in the entrepreneurship ecosystem had the opportunity to meet with representatives from the public sector, academia, technoparks, non-governmental organizations, private sector, and the investment world.
The opening session of the summit was held with the participation of ASEC Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yenal Arslan, AYBÜ Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. Ergün Eraslan, Prof. Dr. Veli Çelik, and AYBÜ Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullah Yıldız. During the opening, the importance of strengthening the culture of entrepreneurship within the university environment was emphasized.
In the first session, KOSGEB Process Consultant Dr. Mehmet Görkem Gürbüz explained support programs for entrepreneurs; Ankara Trade Registry Director Gökçe Yolcuoğlu shared guiding information on company formation and trade registry procedures; and TİGA General Manager Adem Ali Yılmaz presented his experiences through the success story of a software venture that expanded from local to global markets.
In the second session, Enes Dönmez, Manager of Teknopark Ankara Nar Incubation Center, discussed the advantages technoparks offer to entrepreneurs and key points to consider when establishing a technopark company. Selçuk Özdemir, President of the Turkish Informatics Association (TBD) Ankara Branch, spoke about the role of civil society in the IT world, project competitions, and mentorship opportunities. Başak Özcan, General Manager of GarajX TEKMER, shared insights into the entrepreneurial journey from the idea stage to investment readiness, as well as the dynamics of technology entrepreneurship.
The summit concluded with a highly engaging Q&A session featuring Baybars Altuntaş, President of the World Business Angels Investment Forum. During the session, topics such as the entrepreneurial journey from university to global markets, the investor perspective, and next-generation entrepreneurship dynamics were discussed.
The ASEC Entrepreneurship Summit 2026 provided participants not only with a theoretical framework but also with concrete and practical insights into different stages of the entrepreneurial journey. By bringing together various stakeholders of the entrepreneurship ecosystem on a single platform, the event created a strong environment for learning and interaction for students.
