The 7th International Conference of Russian Language Teachers

Hosted by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University and organized by the Russian Language and Culture Center RUSMER in cooperation with the AYBU School of Foreign Languages, the 7th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Russian Language Teachers was successfully held on 10–11 April 2026.

The conference, organized in a hybrid format, brought together academics, researchers, and experts in language education from different countries. With participants from 26 countries, the event served as an important international platform addressing current developments in teaching Russian as a foreign language.
The conference program included plenary talks, paper presentations, workshops, and academic discussions, all of which contributed significantly to the evaluation of current practices and future directions in the field.

The opening speeches were delivered by Dr. Daria Şen, Acting Director of the AYBU School of Foreign Languages; Dr. Aleksandr Sotniçenko, Head of the Russian House in Ankara; Dr. Liudmila Nosova Kural, Director of RUSMER; and Prof. Dr. Födor Pankov (Lomonosov Moscow State University), Chair of the Scientific Committee.

The speakers emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation and highlighted the role of the conference in discussing current issues in teaching Russian as a foreign language in the context of global changes. The event was also noted for fostering knowledge and experience sharing among experts from different countries.
