Vice Dean

Doç. Dr. Şahin YEŞİLYURT

Assoc. Prof. Şahin Yeşilyurt earned his bachelor’s degree in Public Finance from Dokuz Eylül University in 2012. He completed a joint master’s program at Bülent Ecevit University and Sakarya University in 2014 and obtained his PhD in Public Finance from Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Institute of Social Sciences in 2020. In 2023, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Public Finance. During his doctoral studies and postdoctoral period, he conducted research as a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge, Faculty of History, for one year each (in 2018-2019 and 2023-2024), supported by scholarships from TÜBİTAK. Assoc. Prof. Yeşilyurt is currently the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences and the Vice Chair of the Department of Public Finance at the Faculty of Political Sciences, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University. His research focuses on public finance history, Ottoman fiscal history, taxation and fiscal policies in the Republican era, and the history of Islamic economic thought.

 

 

Dr.  Öğr. Üyesi Şahin Eray KIRDIM

Şahin Eray Kırdım holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Faculty of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Selçuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Focusing on an academic career in law, Kırdım completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) programs in International Law at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in the United States, earning the title of Doctor of Law. Since 2023, he has been serving as an Assistant Professor at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations. He teaches law courses such as Introduction to Law, Constitutional Law, and International Law. Kırdım’s research interests primarily focus on the use of force in international law, customary international law, and the authority of United Nations organs under international law. He has published articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, as well as books published by international publishing houses on these topics. Currently, he is conducting research on critical approaches to international law, analyzing the role of international law in the unequal structure of the international system.
