The Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS) Applications Have Started

single

The Turkish Proficiency Exam (TYS) is a test designed to measure the reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills of individuals learning Turkish as a foreign or second language. It has been conducted by the Yunus Emre Institute three times a year, simultaneously in Turkey and in all countries where Yunus Emre Institutes are located, since 2013.

At the end of the exam, successful candidates are awarded a Turkish Proficiency Certificate at the B2 or C1 level. This certificate is the first internationally recognized proficiency certificate for Turkish, and those who hold it are exempt from attending a Turkish preparatory class when they gain admission to any institution in Turkey.

The next application date for the exam is May 4, 2025, and applications will be accepted between March 10 and April 4.
