As AYBU ITBF, we are pleased to experience the satisfaction of receiving the outcome of the importance we attach to quality in education. Seven undergraduate programs conducted within our faculty have been granted accreditation following the rigorous evaluation process carried out by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Programs in Faculties of Science, Letters, Science-Letters, Language, and History-Geography (FEDEK).

As a result of the evaluations, our programs in Philosophy, Sociology, History, and Turkish Language and Literature have been accredited for a period of five years, while our programs in Arabic Translation and Interpreting, English Translation and Interpreting, and Information and Records Management have been accredited for two years. This positive development has crowned the educational activities we carry out in our faculty with national quality standards.

Dr. Gülten ÜNAL, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (İTBF), made the following statement regarding the accreditation process: “The accreditation process includes a comprehensive evaluation conducted across many dimensions, from educational objectives to course content, from assessment and evaluation processes to the qualifications of our academic staff. In this respect, accreditation is an important evaluation process that assures that our programs meet certain quality criteria. Our accredited programs will become more visible with their quality credentials by being included in the preference guides of prospective university students. On the other hand, the inclusion of accreditation information in the Diploma Supplement of our graduates from these programs will further strengthen the national and international recognition of our graduation documents.”

This achievement we have attained is a result of our strong academic staff and our student-centered educational approach. We sincerely thank our faculty administration, department chairs, academic and administrative staff, and our dear students who contributed to this success, and we wholeheartedly congratulate all our stakeholders who provided their support.
