Important Reminder About Exam Rules

5/8/2025

Dear Students,

During the upcoming exam period, it is of great importance that all exams are conducted in a healthy, fair and academic ethical manner.

The increase in cheating attempts, especially from technological devices such as phones, tablets, etc., during the last midterm exam period has made this warning necessary. Any unethical behavior such as copying from any information source during the exam, attempting to cheat, or attempting to take/take the exam instead of someone else is strictly prohibited and is subject to disciplinary action.

During the exam, it is prohibited to keep technological devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, headphones, Bluetooth devices, tablets, second phones, cameras, smart glasses on, off or even in airplane mode, and this will be considered as a direct attempt to cheat.

In such cases, an official report will be prepared about the relevant student and disciplinary penalties such as warning, reprimand, and suspension from one week to one year will be applied in accordance with the Higher Education Institutions Student Disciplinary Regulation.

These penalties are recorded in the student's official record and may bring serious sanctions that may be encountered in the future in cases such as applications abroad, internships, scholarships, and post-graduation job applications.

In order to prevent any violations that may occur during the exam process, our invigilators will meticulously monitor these rules and intervene immediately to prepare an official report. Therefore, all our students are expected to fully comply with these rules.

Our invigilators on duty during the exam have full authority to ensure exam order by changing places, warning, and keeping a report when deemed necessary, and you must comply with the invigilator's directives.

Our aim is to provide a fair, reliable and transparent exam environment for all our students. We thank you in advance for your sensitivity and sense of responsibility and wish you success in your exams.
