The article entitled “Functional Analysis of Long-Run ESG Trajectories Across World Regions,” co-authored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. İklim Gedik Balay, faculty member and Assistant Chair of the Department of Finance and Banking at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, has been published in Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, an SSCI-indexed Q1 journal published by Springer Nature.

The study examines long-term Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) trajectories across world regions using a set of World Bank indicators. The findings reveal persistent regional disparities, particularly in environmental and governance dimensions, while also indicating gradual convergence in selected social indicators. The study contributes to the sustainability literature by demonstrating how ESG-related development patterns evolve and differ across regions over time.

The publication of the article was supported through the Publication Incentive Program of the Scientific Research Projects (BAP) Coordination Unit at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University.

We congratulate Assoc. Prof. Dr. İklim Gedik Balay on this valuable academic contribution and wish her continued success in her scholarly work.
