Student Clubs
Within Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, there are three active student clubs established by the students of the Department of Energy Systems Engineering:
- Renewable Energy and Climate Change Club
- Vision Energy Club
- Robotics Application and Development Club
These clubs operate with the aim of supporting students’ professional development, raising awareness in the fields of renewable energy and sustainability, and providing knowledge and experience through scientific and technical activities. Each club organizes technical trips, seminars, conferences, project-based studies, and social responsibility activities to contribute to both the academic and personal growth of the department’s students. These clubs also support the university’s vision by fostering environmentally conscious individuals committed to energy efficiency and sustainable development.
1. Renewable Energy and Climate Change Club
As the Renewable Energy and Climate Change Club at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, we have been actively working since 2020 with a vision of building a sustainable future. Since our establishment, our primary objective has been to introduce university students to renewable energy systems, raise awareness in this field, and foster conscious individuals in the face of global challenges such as climate change. In this context, we organize a wide range of activities, including technical trips, seminars, conferences, webinars, and R&D projects, aiming to enhance students' academic knowledge and practical skills. With a minimum of 15 events held annually, our club has become one of the most active student organizations at our university, contributing to numerous projects and collaborations. By hosting leading academics and engineers in the field, we enable students to gain up-to-date sectoral insights and develop new perspectives. Dedicated to contributing to the vision of a fully energy-independent Türkiye, our club continues its work with a dynamic and innovative spirit. 2. Vision Energy Club
We provide a valuable platform for students who have a strong interest and career aspirations in the energy sector. Our club regularly organizes conferences and seminars to keep students informed about the latest developments in the industry. In addition, technical field trips are arranged to offer students the opportunity to closely observe and understand the sector in practice. Through activities focused on energy systems, renewable energy sources, and energy efficiency, our participants gain in-depth knowledge and insight into the field. 3. Robotics Application and Development Club
Our club was established to bring together engineering students from various disciplines, encouraging them to collaborate on projects and connect within a social and intellectual environment. We aim to unite students from departments such as Energy Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Computer Engineering under one platform to conduct studies in the field of robotics. Reflecting this diversity, our management team also consists of students from different engineering backgrounds.
