Chair of Department's Message

Dear Students,

Welcome to the AYBU Department of Industrial Engineering.

You have just completed 12-year of education process, together with examination marathons.  You start a new education process based on your preference by competing with your friends. We would like to congratulate you and wish you to complete this process successfully. Please note that this is process that will affect the rest of your life.

Our university is the 5th public university founded in Ankara in 2010. Currently, it serves in 13 different units located in different regions of the capital, Ankara. The Central Complex is located in the Esenboğa district. Our Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences is continuing its service in Etlik July 15 Martyrs (West) Campus.

Our department has started to accept students to Industrial Engineering Graduate Program in 2015-2016 Academic Year. At the same time, we offer Occupational Health and Safety Graduate Program with and without thesis. In the academic year of 2017-2018, we started to welcome students to our undergraduate program. Soon we will start accepting students to our Industrial Engineering Doctoral Program. In addition, we offer the Master's Program in Engineering and Technology Management has also begun actively. In this framework, a total of six academic programs are conducted in our department.

Our department has 14 faculty members including, 7 full time professors, 2 lecturers and 5 research assistants. In addition to General Industrial Engineering subjects, our department is striving to create a difference in four main subjects. These are Systems Engineering, Ergonomics and Human Factor Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Financial Engineering. Our department performs its growth in terms of the teaching staff in a balanced way by taking these main subjects into consideration.
All of our instructors are experienced abroad.

In our department, we want to educate industrial engineers who are aware of local and global competition, have a high level of self-confidence, have an analytical and cartesian thinking structure, have entrepreneurship ability, able to communicate very well with their environment and know how to solve problems. Within this framework, the Young Leaders Club, formed by our students, has an important contribution for gaining expected professional and cultural skills.

University education is a process that is based on preferences and requires a lot of patience. We want you to know that we are ready to give you all the support you need to reach your goals based on your preferences. As a result, while you are reaching your goals, we will have created a staff that will look to the future with more confidence and academic accumulation.
