The panel titled “Iran: Through Its Geographical, Political, and Literary Dimensions,” organized by the Department of Persian Language and Literature, was held with strong participation from academics and students. During the program, Iran was examined from different perspectives, including its historical background, cultural structure, regional politics, and literary tradition.

The panel was moderated by Dr. Faculty Member Fatma Kopuz Çetinkaya, while Prof. Dr. Yusuf Öz, Lecturer Dr. Ali Rıza Mukaddem, and Dr. Mehmet Koç took part as speakers. The distinguished academics shared valuable insights with the participants on a wide range of topics, from Iran’s geographical characteristics and political structure to its cultural heritage and literary legacy.

Our Dean, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Tutar, and Vice Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yahya Aydın, also attended the program. The panel, held in an academic atmosphere, attracted significant interest from both students and faculty members.

Throughout the event, Iran was evaluated not only from a political perspective but also in terms of its deep-rooted civilization, linguistic and literary tradition, cultural identity, and regional influence. The speakers also touched upon the reflections of Iran’s intellectual and cultural heritage in today’s world.

In addition to students from the Department of Persian Language and Literature, many students and academics from various departments of the faculty attended the event. During the question-and-answer session held at the end of the program, students had the opportunity to ask questions to the speakers.

Highlighting academic exchange and an interdisciplinary perspective, the panel concluded with a group photo session.
