Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University Şereflikoçhisar Berat Cömertoğlu Vocational School Management and Organization Department Local Governments Program accepts students by placement in the OSYM center. It is an associate degree program. Our graduate students are entitled to an associate degree diploma.
Our program is 4 semesters and the education period is 2 years in total. Local Authorities are part of the Public Administration teaching. Therefore, our program courses are similar to the courses of Public Administration departments. However, we have courses that are not available in Public Administration departments; In the field of Local Administrations, especially in municipalities, municipal services, license, zoning, and municipal police which require expertise, are also given in detail.
Our students who enroll in our Vocational School gain the right to open education as a " second university without examination ", provided that they choose two-year associate degree departments. They can study our program and at the same time continue to the open education department.
If our graduate students are successful in the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS) conducted by ÖSYM after receiving their associate degree diplomas, they can complete their education in a 4-year faculty, starting from the 3rd year, and receive their undergraduate diplomas. Our graduates can transfer vertically to departments such as " Public Administration " " Finance " " International Relations ".
Students can do their compulsory internship in municipalities, district governorships and governorships. In this way, students have the opportunity to get to know the civil service, the writing and paperwork, the administrative functions in the municipalities, the sub-units of the municipality, the details of the provincial and district administration. In addition, they find the opportunity to develop themselves and show their knowledge skills by acquiring an environment. These students can also work in municipalities after graduation.
Our graduates can become civil servants by taking the public personnel exam known as KPSS. The quotas given to the Local Government program in KPSS preferences are increasing. Our graduate students can take the municipal police officer exams after they get a successful grade in the KPSS exam and meet special conditions such as height / weight ratio. In addition, our graduates are trained to be equipped to work in private sector companies/companies at the managerial level and in public relations departments.
