The 2025-2029 AYBU Strategic Plan Workshop with our internal and external stakeholders was held at Teknopark Ankara. The opening speech of the workshop was made by Hasan GÜLTEKİN, President of İvedik OSB, and our Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz KÖSEOĞLU.
In his speech, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Cengiz KÖSEOĞLU stated that as AYBU, rather than seeing the 2025-2029 Strategic Plan as a document that laws and regulations are obliged to prepare; AYBU's current situation is analysed and where it will be positioned in the future is planned and within the framework of the plan, they look at it as a future vision in which the work to be done to achieve its goal will be determined.
In this context, the opinions of both our students and external stakeholders are of great importance, what kind of AYBU we aim for in the future, where we should position it. In the 12th Development Plan, how will we achieve the tasks and targets given in relation to education, research and other sectors related to higher education? What are the opportunities and threats? He expressed his thanks to the participants for this workshop, which was organised to receive the opinions and suggestions of our stakeholders in order to determine and implement this plan together with a participatory method.
The workshop was organised in two sessions. The first session topic: AYBU's Strengths and Weaknesses. It started with the presentation of Prof Dr Hasan Engin ŞENER, Faculty Member of AYBU Faculty of Business Administration. Prof. Dr. ŞENER asked the participants; Which are our strengths and weaknesses in each field of activity (education, research, entrepreneurship and social contribution)? What do you think are the 3 strengths and core competences that make AYBU different? How can these strengths be utilised more effectively? What are the 3 weaknesses that AYBU needs to correct and improve itself? What would you suggest regarding these weaknesses?".
The topic of the second session of the workshop was "What are the Strategic Collaborations and Strategies of AYBU?". AYBU Faculty of Business Administration Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semih CEYHAN made the presentation. Assoc. Prof. Dr. CEYHAN asked the participants; "How should AYBU cooperate with you in order to achieve its vision and goals by using its strengths? What is the general perception of AYBU in your eyes? If this perception is positive, what can we do to further improve the perception or change the perception if it is negative? What are your expectations for AYBU? What do you suggest that AYBU should do strategically, differently from the previous years? What do you think AYBU has not met in the past years but should meet? Can you suggest at least 3 strategies for AYBU?".
The workshop ended with the collection of suggestions to be reported later.
