A Study Visit to Ulus Organized for AYBU Graduate Students

On 2 December 2025, a study visit to Ulus was organized for Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU) graduate students by the Ankara Research Center for Studies and Applications.
The visit included iconic sites that hold a significant place in Ankara’s historical and cultural memory, such as Ankara Train Station, Gençlik Park, the First Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Ankara Palas, and the Jewish Quarter. The program provided participants with the opportunity to observe the city’s historical development on site.
The study visit was coordinated by Assoc. Prof. Murat Çelik, Deputy Director of the Ankara Research Center for Studies and Applications. Assoc. Prof. Çelik also served as the guide, offering comprehensive insights into the historical and social background of the visited locations.
Assoc. Prof. Yahya Aydın, Director of the Ankara Research Center for Studies and Applications, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Orçan, and Dr. Cemile Feyzan Şimşek also took part in the program.
The visit contributed to graduate students’ deeper understanding of Ankara’s historical fabric and urban memory.
