Within the scope of the 243. Wednesday Seminar, the case of “Jamal Khashoggi”, took place on the 2nd of October 2018, will be assessed in terms of Consular Law. Firstly, the process that led to the so-called case and its consequences will be briefly referred. Then, this case will particularly be examined under the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations – the key legal instrument on Consular Law regulating premises and vehicle immunity, personal immunity and immunity of jurisdiction. Finally, the presentation will try to seek answers for the publicly debated questions.
