The Ankara Research Center for Studies and Applications Represented at the 10th Urban Studies Congress

The 10th Urban Studies Congress, held under the main theme “Urban Development: Processes, Problems, and Solutions,” took place on 22–23–24 October 2025 in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, hosted by the International Balkan University. The congress was organized in partnership with the Urban Studies Institute, Esenler Municipality Prof. Dr. Sadettin Ökten Center for Urban Thought, Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU), and the Ankara Research Center for Studies and Applications.
The opening address of the congress was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Yahya Aydın, Director of the Ankara Research Center for Studies and Applications. In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Aydın drew attention to the contemporary challenges encountered in the social, economic, and cultural transformation processes of cities and evaluated ongoing efforts to develop solutions to these issues.
Throughout the congress, Assoc. Prof. Yahya Aydın also served as a session chair in various panels. This year’s congress made significant contributions to academic discussions by addressing issues of urban transformation, inequality, and sustainability from an interdisciplinary perspective.
